DESCRIPTION
Pentarus system has three M-class planets.
Pentarus II has a very hot climate like desert (the vulcans like it).
Pentarus III is a subgiant gas with a M-class moon.
Pentarus V is a temperate M-class planet.
These planets turn around HD 43587 at 63.1 light-years from Sun.
The star is a yellow dwarf (G0V) with 1.2 radius and 1.68 luminosity
The system is near Gamelan (17.7 LY), Xarantine (25.7 LY) anf Orantaku (26 LY).
Gamelan system has one M-class planet, Gamelan V with a temperate climate.
This planet turns around HD 38858 at 49.5 light-years from Sun.
The star is a yellow dwarf (G4V) with 0.90 radius and 0.81 luminosity
The system is near Andros (17.1 LY), Pentarus (17.7 LY) and Gamma400 (19.1 LY).
History
Pentarus is a member of the United Federation of Planets (TNG: "Final mission").
We suppose that Gamelan is under protectorate of UFP.
The Meltasion Asteroid Belt was an asteroid belt in the Gamelan system. It was positioned between the Gamelan sun and Gamelan V.
On stardate 44307, the USS Enterprise-D was forced to tow an unmanned garbage scow, which was threatening the population of Gamelan V,
through the Maltasion asteroid belt so that it could be directed into the sun where it would be safely destroyed.
At warp 9, Enterprise's journey between the two systems is equal to 4.2 days.
Starbase 71 (v5) turns around Pentarus V.
The USS DELESTREZ and its shuttle turn around Pentarus V.
Enterprise-D turns around Gamelan V and its type5 shuttle around Lambda-Paz.
