Marcos in twelfth position, turns around jovian giant in Phoenix constellation.
Marcos star aka HIP 3583 is at 49.06 light-years from Sun in Beta quadrant.
An unremarkable world, Marcos XII has a population of many Federation aligned races, such as Humans Vulcans, Centaurians and Vegans.
The total population is 6 millions.
It's a Federation Member since At least 2165.
The star is a yellow dwarf (G3V).
Marcos is near Kaleb (13.9 LY), Beta (19.3 LY) and Dramia (21.9 LY).
History
Marcos XII is a M class planet located in Federation space.
It was the first planet the angel-like being Gorgan decided to conquer after his release.
TOS episode: "And the Children Shall Lead"
The evil Gorgan of Triacus targeted this inhabited planet for conquest in 2268.
The Gorgan manipulated the children of the Starnes Expedition into commandeering
the Starship Enterprise NCC-1701 toward that destination.
Marcos XII was also the home of Tommy Starnes' relatives.
