Description :

Beta Antares IV is the fourth planet in the Beta Antares system at 553.8 LY from Sun.
Beta Antares IV was an inhabited planet which had made contact with the Federation by the 23rd century.

Starfleet's Beta Antares Ship Yards is in the Antares system with starbase 575 and four drydocks.
Antares (or Alpha Scorpii) is a binary star system located in the Antares sector of the Beta Quadrant.
Antares A is a light red supergiant M1-Ib with its maelstrom, and Antares B aka Beta Antares is a light blue dwarf, B2.5V.
 

HISTORY

From Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, film. Khan says that he will chase Admiral Kirk

"around the Antares Maelstrom...". 
It's a Federation Member since late 23rd or mid-24th century.
Beta Antares is the second most exposed to attacks Borg. 
Thereby Starfleet Command developed vessels Aegis class. 
In the docks you will find ships of Reliant MkIII class,
They explore nearby systems and detect any Borg cubes.

3 Starbases have been added because they are close to Beta Antares :
Stellar bases 157, 185 and 324 which will be developped nextly.

The USS DELESTREZ and its shuttles turn around StarBase 575 located around Beta Antares IV.
Antares fleet yards turn around starbase.
