Beta Agni II is the second planet in the Beta Agni system.
A world like Earth with Sea-green Class-M planet with oceans, lush areas and a large desert.
It's a Federation Member since late 23rd or mid-24th century.
Beta Agni aka HIP 38980, is in a single star system at 92.6 light-years from Sun.
The system is a solar-like star with a G9V spectral type.

Beta Agni is near Fendaus(12.7 LY), Khitomer (22.2 LY) and Gam Hromi (32.5 LY).

History
Beta Agni II is a M class planet located in Federation space.
It had a Federation colony. The colony had a sudden tricyanate contamination of its water supply in 2366.
The contamination was neutralized by the USS Enterprise-D, which had a supply of hytritium.

Deep Space 8 began in 2370 and is around Beta Agni II.
It was first planned as another monitoring station along the Romulan Neutral Zone.
