DESCRIPTION
Benecia is the third planet in the Benecia system in Alpha quadrant.
The system is an orange dwarf (K0V) aka Hip 27207 is in the Taurus constellation located about 68.1 light years from Sol.
Bernia, the last planet has 'big' inclination and eccentricity with lonely belt around.
The system is near Talos (22.0 LY), Barson (22.9 LY) and Kantare (23.5 LY).

History
On stardate 5928.5, the USS Enterprise rushes to answer a distress call from the planet Camus II, the site of
an archaeological expedition that is exploring ancient ruins of a long vanished culture. Upon arrival, the landing party finds three
among them are Dr. Janice Lester and Dr. Arthur Coleman.
In 2266 this was to be the next stop of the Karidian Company of Players after it performed on Planet Q
and the USS Enterprise.

In the late 24th century, starbase 2 is in Benecia system, for its opening,
Enterprise E and its shuttle Argo are visited this system.
The colony grows up in this sector.

Starbase 2 (spacedock v5) turns around Benecia.
The USS DELESTREZ and its shuttles arrive near Starbase 2.
Cousteau is near USS MOITEL (sovereign class).
USS Vienna and USS Yeager are at spacedocks.
USS Minotaur and USS Miranda MkIII protect the starbase.
