HISTORY :

Algol II is a M class planet located in far Federation space.
Algol was once the home to an advanced civilization.
In the mid-23rd century, it was the site of Federation Starbase 45,
built near the ruins of one of Algol's ancient glass cities.

Starbase 45 turns around Algol II.
USS Cachton and USS Cupertino are at spacedocks.
USS Poznan goes out starbase.
USS Arizona, USS Supernova and USS Shelby turn around this starbase.
The USS Delestrez with its shuttles is near Starbase.

An M-class world colder than Earth.
It's a Federation Member since late 23rd or mid-24th century.

Algol aka Beta Per, is in a system with four stars at 93.0 light-years from Sun.
The system is composed by four bigger and cooler stars than sun :
- primary, a B8V a big blue,
- second, a K1IV an orange subgiant,
- third, a A5V a white dwarf,

Algol is near Chalna (23.2 LY), Hakton (24.4 LY) and K'Normia (27.1 LY)
